Cosy up in recycled home ware

It always feels good to buy something pre-loved or pre-used and made into something new. Bare Foot Kitchen fits this feel good factor perfectly. The blankets, £22, are made from ‘shoddy’ wool, left over from making virgin wool blankets. They have four colour options, all with neutral undertones so you can guarantee where ever you are snuggling in it, you’ll go with the scenery.

I love the floor cushions made from recycled coffee sacks (made from the sacks they sell coffee from in their cafe!) which would be perfect in the summer on the garden deck or in a large kitchen space while the family are gathered. All of their pieces have a little story behind them, usually associated with their life in Cornwall, things that have inspired them on their walks, like their seaweed products.

There’s a lot more to love in their shop, and a Christmas section which is full of wonderful (affordable) thoughtful gifts and decorations. I might even do a whole piece on this soon!

And it doesn’t stop at the shop; they even have a surf school and a webcam on the website so you can watch the sea in Cornwall from where you are. Pretty sweet. A lovely, and uniquely thoughtful, business.

And if all of this has got you wishing you were there, don’t fret. You can stay there, in their Bare Foot Kitchen house or glamping, if you will! The wonderfulness just keeps coming, wish I were them!
